How do I make my particles durable?
Again and again it happens that prepared particles are left over after fishing. But what should you do with them now? Just throw it in the water before you go home or take it home with you? And if so, how long do they last or how do I make them last until the next hide?
Today we want to get to the bottom of these frequently asked questions and present 3 options so that you can make your particles last as long as possible!
1.SALT!
Salt is an excellent way to store your particles longer. However, you should first separate your particles from the liquid before you salt them. In this case, salt is also not suitable for making your particles durable for longer than a maximum of 2 weeks. However, if you know that you will be back in the water within the next 2 weeks, then Salve is a great way to conserve your particles with it.
2.FREEZE!
If you have a freezer at home that still has enough space, you can easily store your paritkel there. In this way you can definitely store your particles for 2 - 3 months and don't have to worry about them spoiling.
3.FERMENT!
Even if the term is only remotely correct, in my opinion this is the best way to make your particles last "very" long. All you have to do here is put your particles in a bucket and cover them with plenty of water. In this way you protect your bait perfectly against mold and can use it again and again for months.
From time to time you should only take the lid off for a moment so that the gases produced in it, which are produced by the fermentation process, can escape.
Also, if after some time your particles start to smell unpleasantly sour, this is not a sign that the products are spoiled, but a sign that your particles have started to ferment.
Best of all, I think the carp really go for this type of particle!
