In our question and answer section, we always answer 3 questions that our customers have sent us.
Today is all about where the carp are in the fall and what gives you the best chance of catching a bite !

1. Where can I find the carp in autumn?
The weather is becoming more unstable and changeable.
If the sun is still shining one moment , it can start raining the next moment.
The carp are now , before winter, really in the mood to eat and are actively looking for food in the water.
Perfect for us carp anglers to catch one or two autumn bulls.
We therefore recommend that you create a large feeding area where the carp have to actively search for food for a long time .
Precise feeding places are now emptied very quickly and the carp move on immediately and your chance of a bite is greatly reduced
A large feeding area on which you only scatter boilies or particles works wonders and is guaranteed to conjure up your autumn carp on the mat!

2. In autumn for carp during the day or at night?
In autumn, when temperatures quickly drop to around freezing point at night, but temperatures of around 20 degrees are still possible during the day , the early morning hours and twilight have proven to be extremely effective for us!
So if you only have a few hours and can't fish overnight, we would highly recommend the early hours of the morning, i.e. an hour before sunrise or, if you come to the water in the evening, 2 hours before sunset !
3. Which line should I choose for carp fishing?
You should adapt your main line to the situation in which you fish most of the time.
First of all, we recommend that you always use a monofilament line instead of braided line .
The advantage of a monofilament line is its stretch, which cushions the escape of the carp much better than braided lines.
This is extremely advantageous, especially in the close-up range or just in front of the landing net!
With braided lines without stretching, fish can be lost very quickly , especially if you are also using a relatively stiff rod or do not yet have a great deal of knowledge.
We would only advise you to use braided lines if you are going to extend your rigs extremely far (over 200 meters) with the boat.
In our opinion, this type of fishing does not make sense, since precise bite detection at such distances is extremely difficult or even impossible!
You should adapt the line strength of the monofilament main lines to your body of water.
So, if you mainly fish close-up or in open water without major obstacles, a 0.30 or 0.35 main line is easily sufficient.
On the other hand, if you are fishing over long distances, in front of obstacles such as sunken trees and water lily fields , in weed or are dealing with a lot of mussels, we would recommend a 0.40 or 0.45 main line with little stretch!
