CATCH REPORT: 19 kilos of mirror carp at less than 4° water temperature!
In mid-March, Thomas went to one of his club's lakes to try carp fishing.
However, the conditions were not on his side at all.
The water temperature at that time was only 4°C and the weather was anything but constant.
Nevertheless tried it this afternoon for 3 - 4 hours.
For assembly he used the Ronnie Rig , to which he attached a small, neon yellow Extreme Garlic Pop Up wetted with FOG and measuring 15mm.
He also used a small PVA bag filled with Crispy Creamy B.oconut Boilies , which he shredded with our Bait Shredder , and a couple of 4.5mm pellets from our own Pellet PRO range.
He threw the montage at a relatively flat spot where everything is overgrown with weed and water lilies in summer.
At the moment, you can fish relatively well at this point without major problems with the hook disappearing in the weed.
After about 2 hours, the bite alarm reported with only 3 "pipers".
At first Thomas thought it might be a bream as the carp didn't really fight that hard either!
After a short fight with our Carpify Traveler carp rods (8-10ft. | 3.25lb) , this 19 kg mirror carp came to the surface and a short time later it was already in the net!
So you see, it can definitely be worth going to the water for a few hours, even when the conditions are bad!
In conclusion, all we have to say is
PETER HAIL THOMAS!
